A supportive knee caliper for individuals with polio having no muscles power which comes with a manually locking or automatic locking orthotic knee joint mechanism. A manual lock / drop lock orthotic knee joint has to be locked and uncloked manually for walking and sitting. But in an autolock knee joint individual has to only unlock the knee manually. This provides maximum stability and is indicated for new users or users with poor muscle strength. An addition of hip joint and pelvic band to a KAFO provides more stability to the paraplegic individuals.
